Calendar Day Indicators

The calendar uses visual cues to help you identify important days:

Understanding Event Display

Events on the calendar provide key information at a glance:

  • Event title - Shows the name of the income source, bill, or reminder

Income payments are displayed based on:

  • Income sources defined in the Income section
  • Shows the date when each payment is expected to arrive
  • Displays the income source name and amount
  • Follows the payment schedule defined for each income source
Subscription Events

Bill payments and subscriptions are shown based on:

  • Subscriptions defined in the Bills section
  • Shows the due date for each payment
  • Displays the subscription name and amount
  • Follows the billing cycle and next payment date for each subscription
Reminder Events

Financial reminders appear based on:

  • Reminders created in the Reminders section
  • Shows both the due date and notification date (if set)
  • Displays the reminder title and amount (if applicable)
  • For recurring reminders, shows all future occurrences based on the recurrence pattern
  • Notification events appear on the date you set to be reminded
Managing events tip:

To add, edit, or remove events from the calendar, go to the corresponding section in Cognito Money (Income, Bills, or Reminders) and make your changes there. The calendar will automatically update to reflect those changes.

Budget Information:

While the Financial Calendar displays income, bills, and reminders, budget information is not shown directly on the calendar to avoid overcrowding. To view and manage your budget periods, please visit the Budgets section.
